Somewhere in the next two weeks, a surface that's still blank right now becomes a painting, and then becomes your deck. The sixty-four animals are printed from the Feather Deck's twenty-one-and-1/3 mysteries, shadow into glow into light. The backs are where this deck stops being reproducible. I clear an hour, paint one continuous mural with no sketch and no undo, in a theme of my choosing, then cut it into sixty-four pieces and bind them with cotton twine. No two Commission Decks share a back. No Commission Deck can be repainted, restocked, or reissued.
The Initiation
To commission a mural is to ask for something that cannot be taken back. The animal fronts speak to what needs to move through you. The mural backs speak to the fact that something in you already broke apart to become what it is now. You are not buying a copy of an idea. You are buying the physical evidence of one hour I spent making something I could not repeat, made new for you.
What Arrives
Sixty-four cards, cut from your numbered mural, tied in cotton twine, kept in a drawstring bag, 2.5" x 3.5", printed on 300gsm premium watercolor paper. A QR code inside links to the full guidebook. This deck is numbered. It will not be numbered again.
