How to Sit with a Mystery
The Earth
Initiations
Eight mysteries. One practice. A direct path to your own inner knowing.
You have heard a call and have been looking for a sign.
There's an intuition you've noticed lately...Maybe you have pulled cards. Studied your chart. Read the books, done the courses, listened to the teachers.
And yet somewhere in all that seeking, you realized: the answers you are getting do not feel like yours.
That is not a failure of the systems. It's a signal.
The universe is not withholding from you. You're invited to build and strengthen YOUR channel.
Inner knowing is not a gift you either have or you do not.
It is a practice. A relationship. A language that develops between you and your own source.
When you have it, the spinning stops. You know whether to move or be still. You trust what you are receiving. You take the next right step without needing permission from outside yourself.
You stop outsourcing your discernment. You start living from it.
This is what the Earth Initiations are built to grow in you.
Eight Doorways Into
the Ground of Yourself
The Earth Initiations are eight self-guided mystery practices drawn from the Animal Alchemy system, each one rooted in Kun — the Earth energy of the I Ching. The receptive. The field. The deep ground that receives what is planted and brings it into form.
Earth does not force. Earth receives. Earth nourishes what is real and composites what is not.
You will work with these eight mysteries at your own pace, using a simple inner listening method that turns art into a direct spiritual practice. Not study. Practice. The difference is everything.
What Is Included
How to sit with a mystery. How to listen. How to let an image do its work on you. This is the key that makes the rest of the initiations work. Without it, the art is beautiful. With it, the art becomes a doorway.
A complete reference for the method, followed by all eight mysteries in sequence. Each mystery contains:
- Three original Animal Alchemy artworks — the full shadow-to-light arc
- The poem of the pattern
- A teaching drawn from the animal's nature
- A shadow engagement and reflection exercise
How to Sit With
a Mystery
A mystery is not a puzzle waiting to be solved.
You already know what a mystery feels like. It is the moment you stop and say: what is happening here? Why is this not working? What is the universe even trying to tell me? It is the place where your mind runs out of answers and something bigger starts to move in the space it leaves behind.
That feeling — the confusion, the not-knowing, the quiet rage of something that will not resolve — that is not a problem. That is an invitation.
Every real mystery is a call from life asking you to go deeper than your current understanding.
Most people try to escape that feeling as fast as possible. They scroll. They ask someone else. They find a system that gives them a clean answer so they do not have to stay in the discomfort of not knowing.
Sitting with a mystery means something different. It means learning to stay. To ask. To listen with your whole body and not just your mind. To let the image, the animal, the poem do its work on you instead of demanding that you do the work on it.
This is the practice the Earth Initiations teach first — before anything else. Because until you know how to sit, the doorways stay closed.
What You Will Move Through
These 24 animals were painted by hand. Each one carries something specific — a symbol, a threshold, a myth. The backs will tell you what I saw when I painted them and what I believe they are asking of you.
That is the initiation. Not a lesson. Not a lecture. A question placed carefully in your hands.
If you do not know where to begin, begin with The Field. It is the first mystery for a reason. The earth receives before it gives. So do you.
These are not objects to protect. They are maps to use. The Arc(k) is designed to live with you — not behind glass.
You are the captain of your own arc.
I painted you a map.
