Magpie

I painted Magpie in 2025 as the Jewel Thief...the thief of Truth.

A joker and trickster bird, since truth cannot and could never be stolen or taken...

However Magpie somehow distills truth to it's very essence...it's quintessence...

In alchemy - quintessence is the understanding and distillation of the five magical forces - represented in my painting by 5 mother languages and the respective symbols for one-ness, sublimity, first principles. 

Magpie is the black and white alchemist who steals truth from false self and the omniscient revealer of secrets - the final siddhi in the arc from complexity (scarab) -> simplicity (sheep) -> quintessence (magpie).
